Learning outcome / competences

Students:

  • can recognise and analyse information structures and their role and integration in company processes,
  • can assess the differences between various information systems and their implications for operative, medium-term and strategic management decisions,
  • understand the conceptualisation and value of information systems and
    information management in companies,
  • are familiar with the core components of information systems in information processing and the design of company communication,
  • are able to work with diverse software in a business environment,
  • can create example solutions for business tasks using software tools,
  • understand various information systems (incl. CRM, SCM, WMS, DSS, ESS) and their significance for management activities,
  • understand and can operate selected software components of Enterprise Resource Planning Models (ERP),
  • understand the design of decision-support systems in binary and fuzzy conditions,
  • are able to efficiently employ information and communication technology to solve operative and strategic challenges in companies.

Written exam over 90 minutes and module-accompanying tasks with software tools in the Lab. Credentialing relation Exam to Tasks is 70 : 30, Retake is possible as oral exam.

  • Legal aspects related to license rights, data protection and data security
  • Cross-section systems (business solutions)
