Learning outcome / competences	Students have independently completed an academic enquiry within the framework of a set time and topic. This involves: structuring complex problems and establishing hypotheses, evaluating one's own solution techniques and strategies, independent research to locate suitable academic information, consolidating quantities of data into academic factual accounts and handling appropriately, interpreting results, completing a written scientific paper on the allocated topic. They have employed appropriate academic working methods in dealing with the topic. They are able to extract the most important facts and data for an academic presentation. These can interpret their results as well as presenting and defending them in front of an expert audience
